Rawon is a popular variation of beef stew served in Indonesia. The meat is braised for hours, leaving a tender and flavourful beef served with a dark broth.

However, it’s not unusual for restaurants to have their own take on it, one of them being Warung Nasi Brintik. This popular restaurant in Malang has a different take on it than the traditional way and has been cooking it that way since it first opened in 1942.
