Come and See for yourself, the heaven on the foot of Mount Semeru. Ranu Kumbolo, or Kumbolo Lake, is a lake on the foot of Mount Semeru.

Ranu Kumbolo Lake Water is believed to be sacred; hikers are forbidden to swim, take a bath, wash dishes, and especially take a piss on the Lake. The Lake Water of Ranu Kumbolo is said to be so clear that you can drink them directly. If you ever visit Ranu Kumbolo, be prepared to see the mesmerizing sunrise there.

The golden sunshine is reflected upon the lake, making stunning scenery. There is a folktale among the locals that a goddess dwells upon Ranu Kumbolo in the shape of golden fish; this said myth makes the locals forbid hikers to fish on the lake.

In the west of Ranu Kumbolothere is a climb that leads to the hill’s top; this climb is the love climb. It is said that those who walk up while thinking about their romantic partner without looking back will have a happy ending in their love story.
