Coban Rondo Waterfall’s water is from a water spring on the slope of Mount Kawi. It has an astonishing height of 84 meters and located 1135 meters above sea level.

A long time ago, a newlywed couple wanted to go to Mount Anjasmoro, as it is the groom’s hometown. Despite the bride’s parents disapproval, they went on the trip. They met a man who is dazzled by the bride’s beauty and tried to take her away. That manager the groom and led into a fight between the groom and this man. The groom then asked his assistant to hide the bride in a place with a “Coban”, which Javanese means waterfall. The fight between the groom and the man was so fierce that it led to both their demise, making the bride become a widow, which Javanese called “rondo”. Because of this urban legend, the waterfall which becomes the bride hiding place is called Coban Rondo, which means The Widow Waterfall.
